- Komposite aus Kohlenstoffnanoröhrchen oder Fullerene in lyo- bzw. thermotropen Flüssigkristallen,
- Electrospinning von Polymerfasern mit flüssigkristallinen Komponenten,
- Flüssigkristalline Kolloidteilchen in isotropen Lösungsmitteln,
- Morphologieänderungen flüssigkristalliner geschlossener Membranstrukturen (Vesikeln) und ihre Beziehung zu Phasenveränderungen,
- Chiralitätseffekte in thermo- und lyotropen Flüssigkristallen,
- die Rolle der Molekül-Orientierungsordnung in smektischen Flüssigkristallphasen (´de Vries smectics‘).
